How to Take Care of LoveBirds

The first thing you need to decide before getting a Lovebird is whether you are going to raise it alone, in pairs or in a breeding colony. If you want to keep your bird or birds happy and healthy you will need to feed them a complete and balanced pellet feed. Treats can be given after your bird eats their feed or they could suffer from nutritional deficiencies due to the fact that Lovebirds are selective eaters.You will need a large flight cage because Lovebirds love to fly. Keep plenty of fresh clean water available at all times. Make sure seed trays actually have seed in them and not just the hulls.
